Stephanie Jo Marchese, MA, MAT, MSW

Marchese is a licensed independent clinical social worker who works for the District of Columbia’s Child and Family Services Agency in the field of child welfare. She is one of five social workers who specializes in adoption. Prior to her career in social work, Marchese was a K-12 educator with a focus in alternative education. Her specializations include trauma healing and recovery, youth sexual development, and child abuse and neglect prevention. Her dissertation will focus on the sexual development of girls in the foster care system. She has twenty years experience working with children and families.
