Megan M. Farwell’s research focuses on nonprofit funding mechanisms, with a specific emphasis on their implications for enhancing social welfare. Her mixed-methods, three-paper dissertation examines community engagement in human services funding processes. Megan has taught several social work courses in program evaluation and macro practice, both online and in person. Her research and teaching are informed by her practice experience, which includes grants administration, fundraising, evaluation, and management of cross-sector collaborations to enhance service delivery. Prior to joining SP2’s doctoral program, Megan earned a Master of Social Work and Master of Public Administration from the University of Washington.
