SP2 Professor Dr. Jacqueline Corcoran Speaks on Evidence-Based Application

Recently, SP2 Professor Jacqueline Corcoran, PhD, had a conversation with SP2 Board Member Elisabeth Joy Lamotte, LICSW, about the importance and methods for evidence-based application published in the NASW Private Practice edition. Dr. Corcoran wrote Evidence-Based Social Work Practice with Families in 2000 and Clinical Applications of Evidence-Based Family Intervention. Also with Oxford, she is second author on a forthcoming book with Garcia on the use of the evidence-based practice process with practical applications to diverse clients. In her conversation, she expounds upon the shifting landscape of social work and private practice therapy over the last two decades.
Dr. Corcoran has over two decades of experience in social work and has written 18 books and over 100 journal articles and book chapters on the subject. In addition to her work in private practice and as a professor at SP2, Dr. Corcoran is the Director of the Doctorate in Clinical Social Work program.
