Kim McKay, PhD, LSW, Med is a full-time lecturer in both the MSW and MSSP programs. They will provide insights into how to use multimedia (video, podcasts, various types of texts) to augment more traditional ways of learning. Moreover, they will discuss classroom policies and practices that celebrate and affirm various identities (diverse learning needs, marginalized gender/sexualities, etc).
All graduate students are welcome. This event grows out of concerns in the Social Policy & Practice department, and so may be most useful to students in related fields.
Counts toward the CTL Teaching Certificate.
