NPL
Certificate in Jewish Communal Service
Master of Science in Nonprofit Leadership (NPL) students are able to pursue a Graduate Certificate in Jewish Communal Service at Gratz College. On its own, the NPL is a ten course unit (CU) degree, consisting of four NPL core CUs, four NPL elective CUs, and two Penn elective CUs. On its own, the Certificate in Jewish Communal Service is a six-course program. When students complete the NPL/Certificate in Jewish Communal Service program, two Gratz courses are applied to the NPL program as electives and one NPL CU is applied to the Gratz Certificate as an elective, allowing students to complete both programs together in thirteen courses.
It is strongly suggested that students utilize summer semesters to complete multiple courses toward the Certificate in Jewish Communal Service to minimize overloading during the Fall and Spring semesters of the NPL program, when students are also completing internships.
