Pamela Gordy

Pamela Gordy is the Director of Financial Aid of the School of Social Policy and Practice at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to her position at the University of Pennsylvania, Pamela was the Director of Financial Aid of Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ where she genuinely enjoyed helping people plan, prioritize, and optimize opportunities to obtain a quality education. She has been employed in higher education for the past 12 years where her leadership focus centered on developing each staff member’s strengths, leading change management, and building relationships with vital departments across campus. Additionally, Pamela gained experience with integrating technology into daily operations to favorably impact and improve financial aid operations.

Previously, Pamela served as manager of financial aid at Camden County College and as flight attendant for American Airlines. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Speech/Theatre/Dance and a master’s degree in Instructional Design and Technology. While financial aid is her primary job function by day, Pamela also enjoys teaching dance and spending quality time with her two sons.
