Evelyn Aguilar
Evelyn Aguilar is a first-generation college student pursuing a Master of Social Work at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy and Practice. Evelyn received her B.A in Psychology and Sociology with an emphasis in social services from the University of California, Davis in 2024. Evelyn previously worked as a peer advisor with college students who are current or former foster youth and interned at a local nonprofit organization that supports underserved transition age youth moving into independent living. She would also volunteer as a student facilitator to teach and present academic/professional topics to in-custody youth to provide a holistic overview of college readiness, resources, and career development. These opportunities and her personal background of growing up in a low-income household while being raised by her grandparents, allowed her to find her passion in helping bridge the gap for underserved youth from diverse backgrounds. Outside of school, Evelyn enjoys spending time with family, building lego sets, watching cooking shows, and loves coffee!
