Who, What, Why: Nathan Nyitrai on the LGBTQ Certificate

Nathan Nyitrai, a student in the Master of Social Work (MSW) Program at Penn’s School of Social Policy & Practice (SP2), discusses how SP2’s LGBTQ Certificate Program provides supplemental education about the legal, health care, and social service needs of LGBTQ+ communities.

“I wanted a degree that would position me to fill the needs of my community,” Nyitrai says. The certificate program is open to SP2 students in the MSW and Master of Science in Nonprofit Leadership programs, as well as all Penn graduate schools.
