An invite from the Office of Social Equity and Community to an Equity in Action Visiting Scholars Event: In this powerful opening event, Nimo Patel—Penn alumnus and founder of Empty Hands Music—will share his inspiring journey from a Wharton graduate aspiring for corporate success to a life dedicated to serving underserved communities through art and heart. Through music, dance, and community empowerment initiatives like Ekatva and Jai Jagat, Nimo’s work has sparked ripples of positive change across India and around the globe—from South Africa to the Middle East. This heartfelt session will illuminate how the performing arts can transcend borders, foster unity, and empower the next generation of changemakers. There will be a Q&A session in the last 30 minutes. Free food and refreshments. Registration is required.
