Social Work Month – Social Work Day at the Defender!

In conjunction with Social Work Month, The Defender Association of Philadelphia is proud to announce “Social Work Day at the Defender” on March 26 from 9:30am – 4:30pm. This opportunity will allow students to:

• Interact with social workers and attorneys at the Defender who will provide a brief overview of the criminal, juvenile and dependency court systems.
• Explore the role of social work in our practice, and its impact on the children, youth, women, and men we represent.
• Tour and observe proceedings at the Criminal Justice Center and Family Court.
• Meet and chat with judges and/or court officers.

This opportunity will be limited to 5 students on a first come, first serve basis.
