Vikram Patel, JD
Vikram Patel is a lecturer at SP2 where he teaches Law and Social Policy. Vikram is also the Managing Attorney of the Energy Unit at Community Legal Services (CLS). Prior to joining the Energy Unit, Vikram was a Divisional Supervising Attorney in the CLS Housing Unit, where he focused on representation and advocacy related to Philadelphia’s Eviction Diversion Program.
Prior to his time at CLS, Vikram primarily focused on representing clients in matters related to intellectual property. Vikram also drafted and analyzed legislation as the Majority Caucus Chair Analyst for the New Mexico State Senate.
Outside of CLS, Vikram serves on the Board of Governors of the Philadelphia Bar Association. In 2022, he served as the Chair of the Public Interest Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association. In 2021, the Philadelphia Bar Association recognized him as a Bar Star.
Vikram graduated from the University Of New Mexico School of Law with the Dean’s Award. During that time, he also interned for the Honorable Jimmie V. Reyna at the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Vikram also received an MS in Physics from the University of Iowa and a BS in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Texas at Dallas.
