  • Tamla joined the SP2 Community in 2018 and brings over three decades of professional experience providing administrative and clerical support across various organizations, including several departments at the University of Pennsylvania. She attended Fayetteville State University in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and earned a Business Management certificate specializing in Human Resource Management from Griffin Technical College in Griffin, Georgia.

In addition to her administrative support work, Tamla has extensive experience as a business consultant. She offers mobile notary services, executive assistance, and document preparation services to small and minority women-owned businesses in Philadelphia, particularly those involved in organizing expungement clinics. Tamla has been a notary public for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania since 2011.

Since 2018, she has actively advocated for her community, serving as a block captain, and organizing efforts to assist seniors in her neighborhood. Her leadership was especially evident during the pandemic crisis of 2021. Tamla’s civic engagement includes her role as a judge of elections in Philadelphia’s 40th Ward, 12th, and 46th Divisions, where she has continued to serve in subsequent election cycles.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Tamla has volunteered with the Mayor’s Commission on Literacy—now known as “The Office of Adult Education” —and the nonprofit Career Wardrobe, now called “The Wardrobe”. She is a proud member of several professional organizations, including the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) – Philly Chapter, the National Notary Association (NNA), the African American Chamber of Commerce of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware, and the Pennsylvania Small Business Development Center (PA SBDC), among others. She has been certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) by WBENC for the years 2021, 2022, and 2023.

As ‘necessity is the mother of invention” – in June 2024, Tamla launched The Susan C. Moses Healing Center and Life Laboratory “Library Street Jawn” in the Bartram’s Garden neighborhood of Philadelphia. That same month, for her commitment to improving her community and enhancing local quality of life, she was honored by Pennsylvania State Representative Regina G. Young.

Tamla raised three children to adulthood and now enjoys time spent with her grandson, Malachi P. Noel (Kai) and her “furry” grand babies. She is passionate about all genre of music, cultural events, museum crawls, and maintaining her spiritual well-being through Buddhism and yoga practices.
