Shug holds a BA in Sociology from the University of Chicago and an MSEd in Education and Social Change from the University of Miami. A former elementary and middle school teacher and home- and community-based service provider, they are a current MSW student at the University of Pennsylvania broadly interested in the interplay between mental and physical health and abolitionist social work practices.
