Reggie Jones

Reggie Jones, LCSW, MSS, MLSP

  • Lecturer, MSW Program
  • Reggie Jones is a part-time lecturer at University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy and Practice. Jones uses a feminist anti-oppressive social work lens to bring critical awareness, engagement, and analysis of the field of social work practice into the classroom.

This requires interrogating what is believed to be known and cultivating curiosity to reclaim subjugated knowledge and alternative narratives/histories. Empowering future social workers to more comprehensively confront issues of inequity and oppression in our field and the lives of the clients with whom we work is of the utmost importance.

For over a decade, Jones was the Director of Counseling Services at Bryn Mawr College. More recently, Jones transitioned to the role of the inaugural Associate Dean for Health & Wellness at Bryn Mawr College, where she leads the psychological and medical services on campus to improve health and well-being of students through new programs and departmental collaborations.

Jones maintains a private practice providing individual, families, and group psychotherapy, as well as clinical supervision to other practitioners and delivers trainings to colleges and youth servicing organizations in the Philadelphia area on: diversity/equity/inclusion, program development and evaluation, mentoring, cultivating resiliency, mitigating stereotype threat, strategies to support first-generations college students, and adolescent mental health and well-being.

Jones is the past secretary of the Ivy Legacy Foundation, past board member and vice-chair of the Gestalt Training Institute, and currently a Mental Health Partnerships board member.
