Randall Wilson, MSW

  • Randall Wilson, MSW earned his Master of Social Work from The University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy and Practice.

    Since 1997, he has been in service to the children and families of the City of Philadelphia at the Philadelphia Department of Human Services. As a dedicated child welfare professional his roles have included Child Protective Services Intake and Assessment, Ongoing Family Case Management, Family Court Dependent and Delinquent Liaison, Family Team Conferencing Practice Specialist, and Strengthening Families Liaison. For over a decade, his practice has focused on the role of Parenting Support Services Group Facilitator and Group Facilitation Trainer. This group work in an education and support model has allowed him to serve parents and caregivers engaged in the child welfare reunification and permanency process, adult and adolescent males who are incarcerated, adolescent males, fathers, youth in foster care, and non-offending parents and caretakers of children who have experienced sexual trauma.

    Randall has been a guest lecturer/presenter at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education, West Chester University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy and Practice.

    He is pursuing his Doctorate in Clinical Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy and Practice. Currently, Randall is engaged in an examination of how institutional oppression, race, and gender function to impact the experience of African-American fathers engaged in the child welfare permanency process in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
