Dissertation: Schools, Teachers, and Their Work: Essays on Attitudes and Responses to Organizational Change
Marlene Walk is a graduate of SP2’s Ph.D. program in Social Welfare and completed her dissertation, titled “Attitudes and Responses to Organizational Change: Essays on Schools, Teachers, and their Work.” Her research interests include human behavior in organizations (particularly organizations in the nonprofit and public sector), meaning of work, organizational change, and volunteering and volunteer management. Prior to entering the Ph.D. program, Marlene worked as the graduate program coordinator for the Business Management M.A. program at the University of Applied Sciences Osnabrück in Germany. Marlene received her Master of Management in Nonprofit Organizations from the University of Applied Sciences Osnabrück and her Diploma in Social Work (equivalent to a MSW) from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Hildesheim in Germany.
