Karina Hinojosa
Karina Hinojosa has experience and interest in research communication, environmental justice design practices, and citizen science and media. She joins as the Research Coordinator for the Philadelphia Economic Equity Project (PEEP), a research initiative utilizing a longitudinal survey to inform policy development to address economic hardship.
Karina received her B.S. in Environmental Science and Science Writing from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where her thesis focused on flood-risk community communication methods. Prior to joining the School of Social Policy & Practice, she worked in academic publishing, astrophysical research, and as a bookseller. She is proudly from the Rio Grande Valley, Texas.
