Joana Joita Halder, MA
Joana Joita Halder, MA is a Senior Research Coordinator & Data Analyst at the Center for Guaranteed Income Research. Her role focuses on quantitative data programming, internal tracking and reporting of projects, and assisting research team members across study stages.
Joana received her Bachelor of Social Science degree in Economics from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. After completing her bachelor’s degree, she conducted research with people from diverse backgrounds and discovered her passion for social science research. This passion, combined with a continued interest in Economics, led her to complete her Master of Arts degree from Ohio University, giving her the ability to apply econometrics models in different socio-economic fields. Her master’s paper explored the causal effect of women’s participation in microfinance programs on their probability of experiencing domestic violence in Bangladesh. Joana also works as a volunteer data intern at BroadStreet, where she assists with community health databases.
