David Koppisch, MSW
David earned his MSW from Temple University in 1994. David’s main focus has been macro social work practice and has spent the majority of his career as a community organizer in Philadelphia. He’s also served in policy advocacy, grant writer/fundraiser, and communications roles for several nonprofit organizations. He was co-founder of an interfaith coalition that addressed issues of public school funding inequity, criminal justice reform, and living wages for service workers – at both the city and state levels. He also served as director of strategy for an action research organization that addressed basic needs insecurity among college students. David is licensed social worker and recently has been expanding his practice to include clinical work with individuals and families. David has been a part-time lecturer at the School of Social Policy and Practice since 2012.
