Caren Kelman, MSW

  • Caren Kelman, LCSW is a maternal child health licensed clinical social worker committed to the development and implementation of programs and services to support postpartum women, infants, toddlers and their families. Caren currently works at Penn Medicine-Pennsylvania Hospital within the Parent and Child Center coordinating the Beyond Birth program that addresses both birth trauma and postpartum challenges. Caren completed additional training in perinatal mental health, cognitive behavior therapy, as well as various attachment-based parenting approaches. Caren’s vast experience spans over 20 years across private practice, schools and hospitals, where she has provided counseling, support and resources to young children and families struggling with social, emotional, behavioral and learning difficulties. Caren holds a Master of Social Work from Columbia University. She currently serves as a Field Liaison for Foundations of Social Work Practice.
