Beth A. Clauss, MSW, LCSW
Beth is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 25 years of experience working with children and families. She earned her Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University and her undergraduate degree in Human Service Studies from Cornell University.
Most of her career Beth has worked supporting children and families in school settings. She also has experience as an inpatient social worker in children’s hospitals. She is trained in parenting coaching and has taught Positive Parenting Classes as part of the City of Philadelphia Parenting Collaborative. Beth is also an associate therapist with the Parent to Child therapy practice, where she supports families with parenting coaching and consultation. As a Trauma Certified Professional, she facilitates trauma informed workshops for Lakeside Global Institute.
For over a decade, she has been the coordinator for the social work program at Penn Alexander School and has provided clinical supervision and instruction for MSW interns from SP2. As a part-time lecturer at SP2, Beth has taught the Education Law and Policy Seminar and courses in the Racism Sequence. Beth has also provided support to MSW students as a field liaison and a contract supervisor.
