Ashley Banks, MBDS
Ashley Banks is the Associate Director of Student Leadership and Engagement in the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy and Practice’s Office of Student Affairs. Ashley oversees SP2’s student organizations, clubs, and government. She ensures that students have opportunities to expand their leadership skills, participate in professional development opportunities, and engage in Penn’s community at SP2, across campus, and around the world.
With over a decade of experience as a Penn administrator, Ashley has a wealth of knowledge about campus life and resources. Prior to joining the Student Affairs team, she held positions in the diversity office for medical students, the advising office for SAS undergraduate students, and the department of Cancer Biology.
While working full time, she completed the Master of Behavioral and Decision Science program at Penn, as well as the certificate program in Social, Cognitive, and Affective Neuroscience. Ashley also holds a B.A. in Sociology and Anthropology from Swarthmore College, where she spent time swing dancing, performing Shakespeare, and accidentally completing a minor in Classical Studies.
