Adam Roth-Saks, MSEd
Adam Roth-Saks is the Senior Director of Operations at Catalyst, the Center for Education Innovation at the Graduate School of Education (GSE) at Penn. In his role, Adam oversees the daily operations of Catalyst, identifies and grows new transformative education programs, manages budgeting and financial accountability, builds collaborations and partnerships, and supports the Vice Dean of Innovative Programs. Before joining GSE, he was the Administrative Director of the Master of Science in Nonprofit Leadership and Finance Manager for the Center for Social Impact Strategy at the School of Social Policy & Practice at Penn.
Adam co-instructs NPLD 5850: Penn Social Impact Lab. In the travel course, students explore the intersections of passion, purpose, and social impact. They learn how social innovators co-develop ideas with key stakeholders, articulate problems and solutions, define intended impact, and collaborate. They also examine their own values, skills, and interests to set the foundation for their own careers.
Prior to joining SP2, Adam worked in international education arranging experiential opportunities for university students and faculty with nonprofits and social enterprises in Latin America, Asia, and Africa and was a broadcast journalist. Adam received his BA from Brown University and his MSEd in International Educational Development at GSE. He is currently pursuing his EdD with a concentration in Higher Education at Penn.
