Ms. Cusack has over a decade of qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods research experience with a focus on promoting equitable opportunities and outcomes for vulnerable populations. While pursuing a PhD in Social Welfare at the University of Pennsylvania, she serves as a Health Science Specialist at the US Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) Center for Health Equity Research and Promotion (CHERP) and works as an independent research consultant. She has interviewed over 200 service users and 100 providers and service teams for projects integrating stakeholder voices with secondary data to assess the effectiveness of services and identify barriers and facilitators to improve outcomes across a range of measures.
She earned a Master’s in Political and Social Sciences from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, CT, Spain. Her undergraduate degree in Sociology is from Portland State University in Portland, OR.
