Lee C. Taggart, Jr., MBA, MBE

Lee Taggart comes to SP2 with over 16 years of experience at Penn. Previously he has worked in the UPenn Health System, the UPenn Nursing School’s LIFE program, and most recently in the UPenn Office of the President. As the Director of Finance and Planning, he ensures that the School of Social Policy and Practice maintains fiscal health while fulfilling its inspiring mission. This includes budget planning, development or improvement of financial operations, enforcing fiscal policies and compliance, maintaining school-wide reporting, and representing the school in all critical business functions. In the community, Lee is passionate about encouraging youth to achieve their fullest potential and founded a youth empowerment organization – Juniata Thundercats Youth Organization. Since 2006, the program has provided life skills training, violence prevention, and competitive youth sports activities for over 200 youth each year. A native son of Philadelphia, Lee is a proud graduate of Central High School. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Howard University, a Master of Business Administration degree from LaSalle University, and a Master of Bioethics degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
