Andrea Porter is the Director of Student Information & Registrar. The primary role of registrars is maintaining academic records and managing registration. They work closely with faculty and other academic administrators in developing, explaining, and enforcing academic polices. In addition, they collaborate with other administrative offices to serve students, faculty, and staff. The registrar’s role spans both the academic and administrative sides of a school, making them uniquely able to contribute to institutional goal setting and problem solving. Andrea joined the SP2 community in December of 2018. She has spent over 25 years in higher education, 17 of which have been at Penn. In each of her positions, her primary role has been helping students succeed. She earned her BA and MLA while working full-time from Penn’s College of Liberal and Professional Studies.
