Nina Cross, MSEd
Nina joins the CGIR team at SP2 after serving as Research Specialist II at Princeton’s Center for Research on Child Wellbeing. There, she managed data and external communications for the foundational Fragile Families and Child Wellbeing Study (FFCWS). There she also spearheaded a supplementary project to add administrative data to the study. Prior to her role at Princeton, she worked as the Public Policy Fellow for the Region 3 office of the US Dept of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse, and Mental Health Services Administration. There, she coordinated all communications between state, federal, and local governments and organizations for the 6-state region.
Nina obtained her master’s degree in 2019 from Penn GSE in Intercultural Communication, during which she performed and published an original ethnographic study on urban bilingual education. In her past lives she has also worked as a software engineer and most notably, a sous chef of one of the most famous restaurants in San Francisco! She is originally from Washington, D.C. and lives in West Philly with her partner Danny and her rotating cast of senior foster dogs.
