Karima A. Williams

Karima A. Williams serves as Director of Human Resources at the University of Pennsylvania’s (Penn) School of Social Policy & Practice (SP2), where she partners with school and University leadership to support the people, programs, and practices that help the SP2 community thrive. In this role, Karima oversees recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and staff development, with a focus on collaboration, clear communication, and thoughtful organizational growth.

With 20 years of experience in higher education, Karima brings a strong service-oriented perspective shaped by roles in both human resources and financial aid at the University of Pennsylvania. She holds a Master of Science in Organizational Dynamics from Penn and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Business Management & Industrial Relations from Clarion University of Pennsylvania, along with advanced certificates in organizational leadership, development, global studies, and entrepreneurship.

Karima is deeply committed to mentorship, inclusion, and community engagement, and has been recognized for her leadership and service across the University.
