Codi Smith is a PhD student within the School of Social Policy and Practice. Her research explores the management of the third sector in international settings and their place within cross-sector partnerships. Particularly evaluating the role of the third sector within authoritarian regimes and their accessibility to foreign aid and partnership.
Before arriving to SP2, Codi worked in the nonprofit sector in a variety of areas including capacity building, community outreach, LGBTQ advocacy/education, and philanthropy. She earned a Master’s degree in Public Service and Administration from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor’s degree from Miami University with a double major in Organization Communications and East Asian Languages & Cultures.
