Barrie K. Levine, MSW

Barrie K. Levine, MSW, is a philanthropy professional and a licensed social worker. Barrie has more than a decade of fundraising experience at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) Foundation. She held a series of roles in major gift fundraising, culminating in her position as the first Director of Principal Gifts, where she built the CHOP Foundation’s first principal gifts team, before ultimately becoming the Foundation’s Senior Philanthropic Advisor. In addition to playing a role in strategies and solicitations that raised hundreds of millions of dollars and resulted in the naming of several programs and buildings, she personally raised over $75M. Prior to the CHOP Foundation, Barrie practiced social work as part of the Hahnemann University Hospital’s transplant team, where she conducted psychosocial evaluations on patients prior to organ transplant. Barrie received her undergraduate and masters degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. She is a graduate of the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia Fellowship Program. Barrie maintains her social work license in the state of Pennsylvania. Barrie serves on the Board of the Sengekontacket Community Corporation in Oak Bluffs, Martha’s Vineyard. She currently resides in suburban Philadelphia with her husband and their three children.
