Drexel & Penn stand on the Black Bottom. Come hear the people who lived there.
Black Bottom elders, in conversation with Walter Palmer, JD, share their memories and walk through 3D models of the Market Street corridor as it looked around 1950. Dr. Edward Epstein places the neighborhood’s destruction within the national history of mid-century urban renewal.
This is event is free and open to the public. Linked live by video with Drexel University, where the 3D models appear on a 20-foot LED wall.
