Slow Burn: The Hidden Costs of a Warming World

A conversation with Dr. R. Jisung Park, author of Slow Burn: The Hidden Costs of a Warming World and Kat Rosqueta, WG’01.  


Kat Rosqueta, Founding Executive Director of the Center for High Impact Philanthropy at Penn’s School of Social Policy & Practice (SP2) and Senior Fellow at Wharton’s Center for Leadership & Change Management, will interview Dr. R. Jisung Park, Assistant Professor at SP2 and Wharton and author of Slow Burn: The Hidden Costs of a Warming World. Dr. Park’s ongoing work examines the effects of extreme heat on workers and labor market inequality, the consequences of natural disasters for human capital, and how policymakers across sectors may design effective and equitable adaptation and resilience solutions.

Introductory remarks will be given by Chair of the Trustees, Ramanan Raghavendran.

SP2 Dean Sara S. Bachman will be there to close out the program.
