Reimagining Volunteerism in COVID-19: Virtual Panel and Discussion

Event flyer

Join us in examining how nonprofits and social impact organizations can creatively mobilize volunteers during COVID-19. The pandemic has reshaped nearly every dimension of life and work. Given these recent and stark changes, it may feel difficult to imagine expending staff time and resources to organize and manage volunteers. In this virtual event, we’ll take a look at how nonprofits and social impact organizations can continue to work with volunteers during the COVID-19 crisis, balancing capacity constraints while meeting organizational needs.

This event will feature three panelists whose organizations are mobilizing volunteers in a variety of ways, from helping with on-the-ground resource distribution to supporting cross-cultural programming around the world. Following the panel, participants will reflect on several prompts assessing their own organization’s need and capacity for volunteers, and have an opportunity to break out into small groups to discuss, share ideas, and offer resources.

Participants will walk away from this online event with new ideas on how to flexibly integrate volunteers in new and helpful ways.
