Join us for a special screening of White Sun (2016), a film directed by Deepak Rauniyar that explores the damage done to Nepalese society by the decade-long civil war between Maoists and Nepal’s monarchical government. The screening will take place on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 6-9pm at Slought. It will be followed by a conversation with director Deepak Rauniyar and actress Asha Magarati. This event is presented in collaboration with Louverture Films, Slought, the Penn School of Social Policy & Practice, and the Cinema & Media Studies Program at the University of Pennsylvania.
This event is free and open to the public, however registration is requested. Please plan to arrive early as registering does not guarantee you a seat. Seating is first come, first served.
