Call for Spring 2026 Art Exhibition Submissions Deadline

SP2 is holding our annual art exhibition and we’re hoping to receive a submission from you! We encourage you to submit work that visually responds to your personal connection to social justice and change. You’re welcome to submit up to three pieces. Please note that not every submission will be displayed. Your submission should visually respond to one or both of the following parts:

1. “What I Carry” (The Catalyst): Capture an image, object, poem, sculpture, relic, or other art form that represents a moment, place, object, or feeling that catalyzed your commitment to social justice, social work, nonprofit leadership, social policy or addressing complex challenges. This could be the daily reality you aim to change, the community you belong to, or the deep belief that brought you to SP2.
2. “What I Hope to Shift” (The Possibility): Capture an image (or create a piece of art) that represents the change or possibility you are working toward. This is the positive vision, the small act of resistance, the moment of connection, or the systemic shift that fuels your current work or research.

Submission Requirement: Please include a brief (50-75 word) artist statement detailing how your piece responds to the prompt.

Submission Deadline: Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 11:59pm. to bomab05@upenn.edu

Exhibition Details

• Theme: Centering lived experience to inform practice and create possibility for social good.
• What: Photography and art pieces (all mediums welcome) that respond to the prompt below.
• Who: Open to all SP2 Students, Faculty, and Staff.
• Exhibition Details: The exhibition will take place on Thursday, April 16th from 2:30 – 3:30pm, SP2 Caster Lobby, and will be displayed the rest of the semester.
