Yajun Stella Zeng, LCSW
Yajun “Stella” Zeng is a Doctor of Social Work (DSW) student at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy and Practice. She earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California and Washington. Her dissertation examines anti-stigma interventions that promote mental health treatment engagement among Asian American populations, with a focus on culturally grounded and evidence-informed approaches.
Stella is the Executive and Clinical Director of Mind Matters Center, an Asian- and women-owned group practice dedicated to providing culturally responsive psychotherapy. Her clinical work integrates CBT, DBT, mindfulness, relational therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to support clients navigating trauma, identity development, and developing deeper self-understanding and authentic connections with others.
Drawing from her bicultural background and extensive experience working with Asian and Asian American communities, Stella’s professional interests include stigma reduction, trauma recovery, culturally attuned interventions, and clinician training.
Outside of her clinical and academic work, Stella enjoys hiking, aerial yoga, backpacking, and spending time with her mini Australian Shepherd, Rico.
