
Stephanie Hasford
Stephanie Hasford (she/her) is a Bronx native turned Philadelphia resident who feels a deep connection to her Ghanaian roots. She is a Master’s student in the Social Policy + Data Analytics program at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy and Practice. She also received a Bachelor of Arts with honors in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. Her career and work are intertwined as she is passionate about working with and supporting diverse communities. She is a Research and Evaluation Associate at EduDream, an education research firm. In this role, she supports research and evaluation of educational programs and initiatives. Formerly, she was a Research Associate at a consulting firm evaluating programs and research in the LGBTQ+ community. Before beginning her professional journey, she worked as a Research Assistant for two years at the University of Pennsylvania’s Risk and Resilience Lab, researching the connection between biology and environment across the life course. Her areas of interest include educational equity, BIPOC adolescent mental health, housing policy, and AI governance. In her personal life, she would consider herself a hobbyist. Most of her time is split between painting, crocheting, sewing, sketching, writing short stories and poetry, and designing spaces. She also spends much time caring for her 50+ houseplants. She always finds joy in a long walk or a picnic at the park.
