
Matthew Joy, MPH
Matt is the Research Coordinator for the Philadelphia Economic Equity Project (PEEP). Before joining PEEP Matt worked with the iSPHERE Scientific Working Group at the Perelman School of Medicine where he managed administrative tasks and large datasets for quantitative analysis. Prior to his role at Perelman, he worked as a Research Associate at Temple University’s College of Public Health at the REACH Lab where he conducted interviews and focus groups, created codebooks, and led coding efforts.
Matt received his Master of Public Health degree in 2021 from Drexel University. While at Drexel he worked as a Graduate Research Assistant where he has authorship on a social media landscape analysis that analyzes public awareness on the genetic testing for different types of cancer. Outside of work, Matt is supporting the Philadelphia Flyers and also enjoys playing for the local Spring Garden soccer club.
