Amy E. Stein, PhD, MSW, LCSW

  • Amy E. Stein has a PhD in social work and social research from Bryn Mawr College, a Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from Rutgers University, and a BA in psychology from The College of New Jersey. She is also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Dr. Stein is a full-time lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania in the graduate social work program. She has 25 years of clinical experience working with diverse populations in a variety of traditional and non-traditional environments, as well as eight years of university teaching experience in undergraduate and graduate social work programs. Dr. Stein is the author and co-author of academic publications for peer-reviewed journals. She presents her qualitative research at national conferences such as the Society for Social Work and Research (SSWR), American Public Health Association (APHA), and the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) about community-based interventions for refugees, as well as the impact of environmental injustice on Native American reservations.
