Abishek is a first-year doctoral student in the School of Social Policy and Practice. His research interests centre on urban poverty, with a particular focus on understanding its causes and evaluating interventions aimed at alleviating deprivation in urban landscapes. During his doctoral studies, he plans to employ econometric and mixed-methods approaches to examine urban poverty alleviation programs.
Prior to joining SP2, he worked for four years as a research associate and coordinator in India on projects related to rural development, urban poverty, stigma, agency, community development and collective action.
He holds a Master’s in Public Policy from the National Law School of India University and a dual Bachelor’s degree in Law and Business Administration.
