Hi everyone. I’m Sally Bachman, Dean of the School of Social Policy & Practice (SP2). Welcome to a new academic year at Penn’s School of Social Policy & Practice. Whether you’re joining us for the first time or returning to our community, we’re thrilled you’re here.
At SP2, we’re united in the passionate pursuit of social innovation, social good, and social impact. Every day, we work to prepare leaders equipped to tackle society’s most complex challenges, and I look forward to seeing how each of you will contribute to that mission this year. We’re especially excited to welcome our newest students, including the inaugural cohort of our Doctor of Nonprofit Administration.
This year, we’ll come together through our Speaker Series moderated by Ben Jealous. We’ll explore poverty, belonging, work, technology, and the future of opportunity. We’ll also engage in meaningful conversations through One Book, One SP2 program. We’re reading Technology for Good. I can’t wait to meet you, learn alongside you, and welcome you to SP2.
